PHYSICS PROGRAM

The Physics Program aims to develop individuals with broad knowledge in physics as well as logical thinking skills who can promote research in astrophysics/astronomy, elementary particle/ nuclear physics, condensed matter physics using advanced light sources such as synchrotron radiation and laser, and synchrotron radiation science. It also aims to develop those individuals who can work in international environments and contribute to society by utilizing the educational backgrounds and research experience in basic science.

The Program is composed of a wide range of physics which is the basis of natural science, such as astrophysics/astronomy, elementary particle/nuclear physics, condensed matter physics using advanced light sources, and synchrotron radiation science. Students will acquire expertise through advanced research in physics pursuing scientific truth. In addition, the Program will train researchers, educators and highly-skilled engineers with broad perspectives, flexible thinking and abilities for research and development so that they can contribute to solving various social issues.
